Christmas Gift Exchange ideas?
My family has grown so much that we have decided to do gift exchange and draw names but the problem is that even though it is a large family we only have three families invovled. When we got to thinking about drawing names we realized that 9 out of 10 times we are going to draw our families name (like I draw my brothers name) and we don't want that to happen. It is my two grandparents, (2) my brother and family (3) my parents and sister (3) me and my husband (2) my aunt and her family (5) so there is 15 of us. Can anybody help us decide this? My mom had said something about the white elephant game but she said there are two many different ages. We don't want to do the chinese auction either. If you have any ideas that would be great. Thanks. The thing I need to stress is that we have many different ages. From like 1 year old to my grandparents who are about 70 years old.

esd:  I have a huge family too (21 adults and 10 kids)... we used to buy for all the kids (under 18) and do a secret Santa between the adults - one person would organize it to make sure no one would chose anyone from their own nuclear family. But after doing that for a few years and as more and more kids were born.. we now decided to do something new. The kids have a secret Santa between each other (so the parents only have to buy as many gifts as they have kids - and those without kids dont have to buy for any) and the adults are now doing the white elephant thing... because for the past 2 years it was just a gift certificate exchange.. it wasn't even fun. So we are hoping this works out better.

crazyme:  put alll the kids in on hat and put all women in one and all men in one and draw and if you get your own kids or spouse you just toss it back in
