N L: Go volunteer somewhere - a homeless shelter, nursing home - it'll do your heart more good than giving gifts you probably don't need anyway!

katierosemathieu: Are you talking about making decorations or what? In my family it is to big to exchange gifts for everyone. We have a chiness auction. That is where everyone that is going to be there for Christmas will buy one present. If there are 10 there then you make two sets of numbers 1 through 10. fold them and give out the first set, then the second set you put in a bowl. One person draws the number and calls them out the first one chooses from the pile of presents, then the second number is called and he has the choice of taki ng what the first one has or choosing from the pile. If he takes from the first one the the one he has taken the present from chooses from the pile..if there were more than the two the he can choose from any of the ones that went before him and they can choose from the others or the pile, they can only be taken once in a turn but the next number that is chosen it starts over and the number that is call makes a decision whether to pick from the pile or from one of the others that went before him if he likes what they have. It is fun because everyone tries to hide their present if they like it. If you are taking about oraniments you can get brown paper bags and make snow men or gingerbread men glue two together for front and back and attach wires from one hand to the other and that makes the thing you can hang on the tree.
