Chani: I am not a Christian. I am a Jew. But, I do know what Christmas is suppose to mean to Christians. And, it is not for ''gimme, gimme, gimme''. Maybe, instead, you should look to see what you can give to someone--maybe someone in need. It is suppose to be a religious holiday.

stickybroom100: A USB stick/Flash Drive is quite a good gift to ask for, and/or an MP3 player. If you are happy not to have the fancy branded kind then you can probably get both. Both should be on offer around christmas time, although the folks buying you the pressies may need advice on where to buy them.
I have a great mp3 player which is the size of a large usb stick and very easy to sync up with the computer, much easier to carry around than a bigger player with a screen and much more reasonable priced too.
I use my USB stick all the time and it is definitely worth asking for; for christmas, great for moving files between home and school and storing things. The minimum size you should get is 512mb, but if they see a 1gb on special offer then that would be great!
If they have any money left over - I reckon they could get both of these for under ?35, if they shop around, ask for a donation to charity :) Tis' the season of giving after all! - and if you can't think of anything much you want, I assure you this way your present will not be wasted!
