I have a Yankee Swap at work, what should I buy?
I have a Yankee Swap at work, what should I buy?
*my jobs is like this: *
A yankee swap is when co-workers buy one gift...set it on the table...then draw names. The first person is the worst b/c although they get to choose from all the gifts on the table, everyone after them gets to choose from all the gifts. In this situation you'd want to be the last person to have your name drawn b/c therefore you get to choose from ALL the gifts (regardless of if they're on the table or in someone's hands). If you are left at the end of the swap without a gift (only one person will) then you take the last gift on the table!!!
*again, this is only how my job is doing it*
so, what should i buy if the limit is $20??? THANKS!!!

DMBthatsme: When I had Yankee Swaps at my office (I'm a stay at home mom now), I would make up a Starbucks gift basket full of coffees, cookie treats and a mug. Co-workers were fighting with each other during those swaps! LOL

Artie: I do these every year. Small boxes of chocolates or samplers work good and can be bought for 15-20$. Also restaurant gift cards work good if there's one nearby to where you work, and $20 is enough to get something. Good luck and merry christmas!
