Crafty Christmas ideas......?
I have a 10 and a 6 year old who love making special gifts for Christmas. I have not been able to come up with that "perfect" craft for this year. Grandparents, aunts, and uncles all have everything they need and want and there is just no reason for us to spend money on some trinket that will be forgotten and collect dust. We have made.........flower pots with hand/footprints, candy, homemade cocoa with chocolate covered spoons, ornaments, picture frames, plates with pictures, personalize coasters, jewelry and a few others I am forgetting right now. If you have an idea of a Christmas craft that your family enjoys making, I would love for you to share. Please give me your best Christmas craft ideas! Thanks!!!!

firey_cowgirl:  we make chocolate suckers. you can buy the stuff in the craft section at walmart or any craft section. my kids love to do this. you can add flavored oils to them to flavor them, get different colored chocolates, all sorts of things. i make coffee spoons by waiting till the chocolate thickens then dipping gold colored plastic spoons in it. great in hot milk.

drumbum:  The fleece blankits are easy Get 3 yards of two matching fleece patterns Lay them down together Cut 4 inches out of each corner( cutting a squere out of the corners) Cut into the blankit 4 inches tie it up. it's simple! Dont tie too tight or it will pucker! I also think that the dry dip mixes are nice. You can find easy recipes for it.

Cindy W:  if you have a sewing machine you can make some fast and easy pillow cases. buy some fun and special fabric and those make the best gifts! think about when you are not feeling so well and your pillow is your best friend. a special pillow case on it makes it even better.

riversconfluence:  Fancy Xmas stockings that match the person's personality, or home? Embelish with beads. Use them singley, or buy the fringe with them on it, Walmart carries it, so do the hobby stores. Purses for the ladies? Carry all bags? Personalized lunch carriers?

sarahz:  what about a scrapbook of pictures of your family over the years! you can scan and make multiple copies of your great pictures, have the kids write down little sentences about what they're doing in the pictures, and the last picture can be a new one of you guys around your tree or something all saying Merry Christmas! you guys can have a lot of fun decorating all the pages with stickers and glitter and stuff!
