We wrap (the same) holiday-themed books and movies for the kids to unwrap one a day from Thanksgiving to Christmas as their bedtime story. For the adults and extended family we have a white elephant gift exchange with a low dollar limit and then give what we can to charities. We spend the day together as a family and sing songs and play games. What do you do and what makes it special to you?

*mrsD2b*:  well, my kids are only 5,3 an 1 so i have loads of time to make more traditions, but we do the traditional thing of spending xmas eve at home, listening to xmas carols, watchin xmas films etc... around the 10th dec or so, we bundle the kids into the car and take them to see all the lit up houses in our town, that takes a while! lol.. theres so many thing s i like to do with them, whether its baking mince pies or cookies or just reading night before xmas to them. kids really do "make" xmas!!
