What are some inexpensive Christmas gift ideas for grandparents?
My daughter will be 15 months at Christmas...we are extremely tight on money. What would be a good gift for the grandparents from all of us?

?dancer:  My family did this several years ago. We got a plain canvas apron for my grandma, and each of us kids put our hands in a different color paint and put our handprints on the apron. Then my mom wrote "We love Grandma" across it. Maybe you could do something like that?

I have a Thumbs Down Troll! yay!:  A grandchild picture or family photo in a nice frame. Give your daughter a couple of crayons or safe (crayola makes these) markers and let her "draw" them a picture. Mugs with the baby's picture on it. lots of things can be personalized for little to nothing, and they'll love it. :)

Stephanie H:  Anything with pictures, grandparents love pictures. Either get some professionally done or gather some up on your computer and go to www.walgreens.com they have so many gift ideas. Good luck!

Erin:  You could go to walmart and create a picture calender and they also do mugs, blankets and shirts. Or make them something homemade try tracing your daughters hand and making reindeer ornaments for their christmas tree or making them their own scrapbook.

Liz:  The baby's picture in nice picture frame...maybe one that says "granddaughter". It really is the best gift on a tight budget. You can take the picture yourself or have it professionally done. If you can get one of them together, that is really sweet. Or get some paint and have your daughter make "hand prints" and frame them.

Mandy .:  the first christmas the grandparents were grandparents we went out and bought 2 photo albums ($6 ea.) and took out memory card to have 15 pics printed out (like $.30 ea.) and every year we get 15 pics printed out to put into the photo album. I also got my sons chrismas pics done with santa and got 2 photo frames on clearence ($2 ea.) and put his pic in there. and every year we replaced it. or get finger paint and help her paint a christmas card. its thoughtful and simple.

Roll out some about 1/2" thick and then have your daughter press her hand into it. When it dries, you can coat it with clear craft paint or leave it as is. Glue a magnet on the back of it and it is the best refrigerator magnet. I gave these to my daughter's grandparents four years ago and they STILL have them on the fridge and STILL love them. If you are looking for a gift for them from just you and your husband consider a small basket of old time candies. If you go to Cracker Barrel they have a bunch of different kinds. Older folks appreciate gifts of food and they will have a good time eating their way down memory lane. Hope this helps!
