Anyone know of some good Crafty Christmas gift Ideas?
My husband and I will be welcoming our first baby in just a few months, so we don't have a whole lot of money to spend this year on presents. I always thought that making something with my hands is better then just getting a cheaper type gift. I was thinking maybe making some Christmas ornaments for the family. But I would like some help coming up with a few more ideas. Thank you!

RW:  What about getting some song downloads... a special song talking of LOVE and how important Love is.... Remember, Christmas is the Season of Love and Light. I will get the song called JUST LOVIN YOU by Nikki Hornsby, I downloaded it on Amazon. A few weeks ago I bought it for a dear friend who LOVED it! I wish you a very merry christmas with your little family :)

Camryn76:  Ornaments: Get some mini wreaths (or make them) and decorate them with little red bows, tiny ornaments, tiny pinecones, little gifts, small candy canes, little christmas light bulbs etc. Ginger ornaments cut into different shapes. You could decorate them with glitter. Or in the middle of each you could make a shape. Example in the middle of the ornament, make a christmas tree with the glitter. Get some acorns and decorate with glitter. Or have them hanging inside of a smaller wreath.

Just Mel:  I'm going to make these for the kids in the family this year: http://holidaymemories-angie.blogspot.com/2008/09/stocking-stuffer-idea-cute-reindeers.html These are really cute too - Christmas countdown clipboards. You could make them without spending a vunch too - they probably have clipboards at the dollar store http://simplifychristmas.blogspot.com/2008/07/altered-clipboards.html Glass block Christmas gift box - I got one of these last year and then made one for a white elephant exchange. They may be a little more than you want to spend on a craft, but it another idea. They sell pre-drilled glass boxes at Lowes if you don't want to drill them yourself: http://www.thriftyfun.com/tf37245405.tip.html# http://www.helium.com/items/1322306-christmas-block-lights-glass-gift-decoration-present You could also do gifts in a jar - there are lots of choices - cookies, hot cocoas, bath salts, oatmeal, etc. Just do a google search

John M:  I am a fan of home made gifts because of the time and effort that gets put into the gifts. The day you got pregnant was a day that changes your lives forever. Why not document everything that has gone on between the two of you so far going back to you first date in a photo book. You'll appreciate it more in the future. jellybean_23_98:  you can make colored popcorn ball ornaments: pop some corn and get some glue shape it into a ball set to dry and paint as you wish or wrap colored yarn around it and glue it in pace. Makes cute bulb-like ornaments. Also there's alot u can do with macaroni!!
