Secret santa.... should I draw a card for him or just get him a gift?
At school i'm playing a game of Secret Santa and I have to get a $4 - $5 gift for this guy. I know who he is ... but i've never talked to him, never really see him around, he's never been in my class etc... I heard he's a really nice guy though and i'm wondering, should i draw a card to go along with the gift? Or just leave it as a gift? Thanks. I personally love drawing cards and on it I would just write: "Merry xmas, from your secret santa". Then draw a pic or something simple. But since I don't really know him, would a card be too much?

Samantha:  In my opinion, if you enjoy drawing anyways and you have the time for it, I would definitely draw one. It shows the the present was more personalized than just something thrown together and is a nice gesture for a Merrily Christmas! =]

Pie Lover:  I think making the card would be perfect. it can start a friendship. buying a card isn't special. if you make the card, i means that you've put effort into his gift.

TreeHugger:  I really don't think that a card would be too much. I think it would be cute and make him pretty happy. It doesn't have to be very personal, you could just draw the general holiday symbols on it like a christmas tree or santa or something. I think it will make him feel good knowing that you put a little effort into something you were giving him. (plus everyone else might be jealous that they didnt get a super awesome card from their secret santa, dont you think? ;) )

misslabeled:  It probably wouldn't be much of a secret if people know you like to draw, or you'll be unable to keep yourself for fishing for a compliment by calling attention to the card, so I say forgo the card and just bring the gift.
